Eddie Johnson to Greece?

Soccer By Ives is reporting that the Greeks are reporting that Greek club Aris Salonika are interested in bringing in the American striker. Sounds good to me. Anything to get this guy back on the field.

Jared Jeffrey moves to Mainz

Kicker is reporting that German Club Mainz has bought US U-20 midfielder Jared Jeffrey from Belgium’s Club Brugge. Jeffrey was a member of Brugge’s first team, but had yet to appear in a league match.

Belenenses send Adu back to Benfica

New Belenenses manager, Toni, has cut Freddy Adu and sent him back to Benfica. Adu had been struggling for minutes with the last-place team, and will most likely find it even harder to come by back at Benfica. Will he secure another loan to a smaller team or league? Will he try to find a [...]

Donovan loan to Everton is complete

Soccer By Ives is reporting that the Landon Donovan short-term loan to Everton is complete. It will last three months and Donovan will return to the Galaxy in time for the start of the MLS season. I wish this deal was for longer, but I think it’s a great move for him.

Donovan to Everton in January?

The Guardian reports that Landon Donovan is being linked with a January loan move to Everton. No word on whether this would extend to the start of the MLS season or the end of the English season.

Fulham looking to unload Eddie Johnson

Daily Mail is reporting the Fulham are looking to unload striker Eddie Johnson during the January transfer window. Nothing surprising here. Will there be any takers?

Some post-draw thoughts

I scrambled to get that post about the draw out earlier, so I thought I’d come back after sitting on it for a while and offer a few more post-draw thoughts. -I don’t think the US could have asked for a much better draw than the one they got. And yes, I am including the [...]
